Get Back on Your Feet
Foot, Ankle, and Knee Care for Montclair Village and Oakland Athletes
What do the bicycle wheel, the wet towel, the car jack, the peanut butter jar lid, and the windshield wiper have in common? They're all ways to describe the motions of healthy knees, feet, and ankles. Unfortunately, sometimes our favorite activities, like running, walking, or cycling, create pain and injury that keep us from running, walking, cycling, or just living our lives. We use Active Release Technique to ease the effects of injury and get you back on your feet.

Plantar Fasciitis
Plantar fasciitis is inflammation along the bottom of the foot that often shows up as sharp heel pain, especially first thing in the morning. We treat it using Active Release Technique, adjustments, and custom orthotics when needed.

Runner's Knee and Other Leg, Ankle, and Foot Conditions
Runner's knee is pain around the kneecap that flares up with running, cycling, or repetitive movement. We also treat meniscus injuries and sciatica that radiates down into the leg, using a combination of adjustment styles (Activator, Drop Table, and manual) matched to what your body responds to best.
We see active patients from Montclair Village, Piedmont, and throughout the greater Oakland area.
Runner's knee and plantar fasciitis often show up alongside other overuse injuries, so our sports injury page is worth a look too. Much of your treatment here draws on Active Release Technique, which has more detail on its own page.
